Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using DiskCopilot ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. DiskCopilot is a macOS-only application designed to scan and analyze disk usage.

2. License Grant

Free Version: You are granted a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use DiskCopilot's core features on one Mac for personal or commercial use.

Pro License: A one-time purchase of $19 grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use all DiskCopilot features on up to 3 Macs. This license includes lifetime updates to the current major version.

3. Permitted Use

You may use DiskCopilot for personal or commercial purposes to scan and analyze disk usage on macOS. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or redistribute the App or any part of it.

4. AI Consult Feature

The AI Consult feature opens a third-party AI service in your browser with a prefilled prompt. DiskCopilot is not responsible for the responses provided by Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), or Perplexity. AI responses are informational only and should not be treated as definitive technical advice. Always verify before deleting system files.

5. No Warranty

DiskCopilot is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that scan results are complete or error-free. You are solely responsible for any files you choose to delete based on scan results or AI consultation.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiskCopilot and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including data loss, arising from the use of the App.

7. Refund Policy

Pro licenses come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are unsatisfied, contact support@diskcopilot.app within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.

8. Updates

We may release updates to DiskCopilot to fix bugs, improve performance, or add features. Updates are delivered automatically or via manual download. We reserve the right to modify features in any update.

9. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you must uninstall DiskCopilot and destroy all copies. Sections 5, 6, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of California.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of DiskCopilot constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
